This is like no other BB Cream I’ve used. I'll post pictures of the differences later.įirst impression: Oh holy wow. THE FONT IS DIFFERENT, THE LABEL IS NOT CENTER AND SIGNIFICANTLY TO THE RIGHT*** So far the product inside seems fine, but the different packaging throws me way off. *** THE PRODUCT RECEIVED FROM AMAZON HAS DIFFERENT PACKAGING.

And for less than $10, it's worth the try. I highly recommend trying this product if you have any acne. What I do is add a light layer of mineral powder over this to set it and add a little more coverage while still looking natural.

If you do, you run the risk of looking cakey. You don't need to add foundation over this.

I actually break out more going with out make up than I do when I wear this. Not only does this product prevent breakouts, but it helps to clear them up. That was about 1 1/2 years ago and I still haven't gone back to the department store. I ran out of foundation one morning and stopped by a drug store to pick something up that would work for the day. I've always spent anywhere from $30 to $45 on my foundations at department stores until I found this little miracle. ***THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON THE PRODUCT ITSELF, BUT THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AMAZON PRODUCT AND STORE BOUGHT***

  • I'm very happy with this product so far and will definitely repurchase again. I think the key is to use a separate SPF. I found that it's mattifying but not drying, and most importantly I only need to blot my face maybe once or twice a day now. It does dry fairly quickly and that's when a damp beauty blender comes in handy. This cream is very buildable and has medium coverage. My routine: Trader Joe's Rose Water Toner, Secret Key Aloe Soothing Toner mix with TO Squalene, Benton Snail Bee Essence mix with Vit C, TO Salicylic Acid, Mizon Snail Ampoule mix with TO Niacinamide, Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+/PA++++, Covergirl BB Cream, and a light dust of translucent powder. Turns out that Covergirl shades match my skin tone perfectly (similar to Holika Holika without the grey undertone) and it's cheap. I figured that if this doesn't work then oh well, I'll go back to my normal BB cream and let the search continues. In my search to find a BB cream without SPF, I found Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream for Oily Skin purely by accident. I figured that BB cream that contains any SPF will be too greasy for me no matter if it's marketed towards mattifying or for oily skin. As much as I like how Holika Holika has a pretty high SPF and tea tree oil which is beneficial for my skin, it does have a grey undertone that makes me look sickly and also makes my face look like a greasy mess after a few hours. I've been using Holika Holika Pore Clearing Petit BB Cream for the past few years and was looking for something better. I'm an Asian with oily and acne prone skin. I apply a light bit of powder on my trouble areas, but other than that, this BB cream handles a 6-8 hour day pretty easily. Also - and as importantly - the "matte" feature of this formula is really, really good. The color may be too yellow-toned for some, but having Asian-American genetics, it worked fine for me. Is it going to give you a 24-hour mask? No, definitely not, but I actually prefer how this looks over time, especially for those of us with dry patches and acne. I have CoverGirl's Outlast 3-in-1 foundation, as well as a graveyard of other drugstore foundation bottles, but over the course of a week, I kept reaching for this one, because it does a great job as base coverage for my scarred, combination skin. Even compared with products marketed as "foundation," this little BB cream holds its own - I would even call it a good medium coverage. While applying it, however, I was completely shocked how good the formula actually is. So, I bought this thinking it would be yet another lightweight BB cream that lasts just half a day.
